Rescue services...
If you have found a turtle or tortoise and can't locate the owner, contact the San Diego Turtle & Tortoise Society by email. Send the phone number where you can be contacted and your location.
Your email will be broadcast to the cell phone of a Rescue Coordinator who will have someone in your area contact you.
We are all part-time volunteers and we receive hundreds of rescue requests each month. Someone will call you as quickly as possible, please be patient. In the meantime, place the animal in a box in a shaded area. Make some water available. Assure the animal is in a secure area away from dogs.
Relinquishment form...
Once an appointment has been made for pick-up, this animal relinquishment form can be downloaded and filled out prior to the time of relinquishment to speed the process. (We sometimes can arrange to have animals shipped to us from out of state. If you have made arrangements to ship a relinquished animal, you will be asked to print and fill-out the attached form and send it with the animal.)
