California Desert Tortoise Permit
For those of you that currently have or are thinking about acquiring a California desert tortoise, please be aware that state law requires that you apply for a permit from the Department of Fish & Wildlife. There is no fee for applying and you will be issued an ID tag that should be adhered to the shell by the back legs. Just download the application and mail in to the address listed on the document.
California Turtle and Tortoise Club

Sea Turtles in San Diego Bay (NOAA)
