Sarah Thompson and Dr. Barbour from the San Diego Humane Society will be presenting on the process that a turtle or tortoise would go through when they arrive at our facility. After the explanation on the intake and housing process, Dr. Barbour will discuss some interesting or unique cases as well as the anatomical differences between chelonians and our canine/feline friends that we see so many of in the shelter on a daily basis.
Terry Robinson has had a love of turtles and tortoises since childhood and currently fosters numerous turtles and tortoises for the society. He will be bringing and speaking on the diet and husbandry of several of the exotic turtles and tortoises he is currently caring for.

This month we will have a show and tell of some of our members personal unique/exotic animals as well as this years nominations for officers and board members. We have some open positions that need to be filled by people who truly love these animals and have time to fulfill what is needed for the position. Please apply if you can.
